Essie and The Hum:
Born out of the rhythms and hush of the Pacific Northwest, meet Essie and The Hum. At the center of the 4-piece band, Essie’s lyrical voice and chant-filled melodies bring her listeners into an ethereal, analog and electric realm.
Drawing influence from the intimacy of Julia Jacklin, the atmospheric grooves of Men I Trust, the raw storytelling of Big Thief, and the timeless edge of Dire Straits, Essie and her crew blend casual laid back rock with indie folk flavor.
All original songs are written by Essie, whose guitar and vocals are lifted by the smooth rhythm section of Jaxx Ward (bass) and Steven Douglas (drums), with textured playing from guitarist/vocalist Paul Danowski. Expect a range of sound, from slow-burn ballads to indie-rock-bordering-funk/punk.
Café Humm:
Cafe Humm’s original A Capella arrangements span from upbeat dance music to soft and mellow folk classics. Born in living rooms and backyards, the group is a collaborative collection of singers and composers who share a love of music, community, and each other.
