Launched on July 2012, Buena Vibra is a Seattle-based salsa band with an amazing repertoire of original compositions and arrangements by producer Jeremy Bosch, which are featured in their debut production “Hecho a Mano”. Buena Vibra’s second release “Flor de Verano” was produced by Steve Guasch & Jeremy Bosch featuring new singer Francis Rosa Velez and Joshuah De jesus on lead vocals. To round out the recording session the band hired the same session players as for the first production, Felipe Fournier on Vibes, co-producer Daniel Torres on Bass, Marcos J Lopez on Timbal and bongo, Marcos Torres on conga and minor percussion as well as Steve Guasch on Bongo and the addition of pianist Yeissonn Villamar.
Launched in 2012, Buena Vibra has been playing Seattle Salsa Circuit with great success being led by band leader and timbal player Steve Guasch and pianist Fred Hoadley. The band also features Bassist Andy Zadrozny, Vibes player Scott Ketron, Steve Smith on Bongo, Guillermo Padilla on congas, Francis Rosa Velez from Quebradillas , PR on lead vocals.
Buena Vibra in its original conception was to be a band that honored and featured the music of Cheo Feliciano, Ruben Blades and Tite Curet Alonso as well as Grupo Mango and Carabali. It evolved into a production of original music compositions inspired on their work, resulting on Buena Vibra’s sound.
“La Fundacion Nacional de la Cultura Popular de Puerto Rico”, included the production “Hecho a Mano” in their prestigious top 20 productions of 2016 in the 11th position in a ceremony conducted in San Juan, PR.
