It’s audience vs. performers as host Meg Ferrill and 7 Deadly Sins present a collection of Portland’s top comedians, writers, artists, radio personalities, and other assorted raconteurs tell the their own worst, best or weirdest story about animals.
But anyone in the audience can offer up the deets on their own worst, best or weirdest animal story.
And that story can be about whatever the word ‘animals’ means to you, be it domesticated pet, wild beastie, or colorful metaphor. Maybe it’s a story about a beloved pet who changed your life, or broke up a budding romantic relationship, or let you know it was finally time to save Timmy from the well. Or perhaps your story is about some encounter with nature: that bear that stalked you on a hike, or the two cows that got a little too intimate that time your kindergarten class visited the dairy, or the flock of crows that decided to make your life a living hell. Or maybe the animal is you.
Whoever everyone decides had the worst, best, or weirdest animal story — be it performer or audience member — will have a chance to win one of the absolute best or absolute worst prizes ever awarded on stage.
We’ll also give away prizes for the best answer to our Absolute Worst Question Of The Night, the evening’s Best Audience Member, and whoever brings us the weirdest unbelievable but true trivia fact about an animal. Plus other prizes that we’ll probably just make up as we go!
Also, we may ask everyone to howl at the moon. Or we may not. (We’ll see.)
