Eugene’s most popular local filmmaking challenge is back from the (nearly) dead, for an 11th season!

This October, local and regional filmmakers compete to write, shoot and edit the best 3-minute horror film in a 72-hour period, incorporating a mandated line of dialogue and prop. Films submitted by deadline will be presented at this screening event, and YOU are invited to vote for your favorite! The film voted “Audience Award” winner will receive a $666 cash prize, a “Jury Award” winner will receive a $1134 cash prize, and prizes will also be awarded for excellence in several technical categories with prize packages provided by sponsoring local businesses. Winners will be announced at a ceremony immediately following the screening.

Support for the 72-Hour Horror Film Competition comes from the Eugene Film Society, UO Cinema Studies Department, BluntGraffix, Team Pacori, Art House & Metro Cinemas.
