Timecop1983
Timecop1983 with Dreamkid Official Tickets: Etix/Cascade Tickets is the official ticketing source and partner of Mission Theater — Timecop1983 is a producer from Eindhoven in The Netherlands. His style is best described as romantic and cinematic, inspired by the 80’s. He is a one-man band, creating Synthwave music with (vintage) synthesizers and a computer, but he works together with other musicians and vocalists regularly. He started making music when he was 12 when a friend gave him a floppy disk with Scream Tracker for MS-DOS. He didn’t have any musical background and he never learned to play a musical instrument, but he was determined to learn to make his own music. After years of experimenting and learning how to create music he got inspired by the movie Drive (2011) and he decided to create Synthwave. That’s when Timecop1983 was born and soon his music was picked up by NewRetroWave on Youtube. He is now considered as one of the top artists in the Synthwave genre and he has released multiple albums, EP’s and singles which have accumulated millions of plays on the major digital music platforms. All the while staying independent. His music has been featured in various (short) films, including major productions like DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow”, Netflix’ “Lucifer” and “Stream” from the producers of “Terrifier”. He has also done several soundtracks for videogames and other productions. His dream is to create more soundtracks in the future. Timecop1983 has played many international live shows, including gigs at the world famous Amsterdam Dance Event and he has done 4 US headline tours. A multi-instrumentalist, Dess is one of the few artists today who writes, plays, sings, and produces all his own music in his studio. Reviewers have called his music “mesmerizing” and noted his “silky vocals, low-key beat.” He is a blender of genres and makes some of the most raw and original, emotionally alive music today. Two Feet’s songs are atmospheric and moody due to spacious arrangements and muscular hip-hop-tinged beats. Dess combines a soulful electric guitar with floor-rattling bass to create his unique sound. Seffarine
Seffarine Official Tickets: Etix/Cascade Tickets is the official ticketing source and partner of the Spanish Ballroom. — Seffarine “Seffarine’s music can melt the coldest hearts”-Chicago Reader At a momentous first meeting at a coffee shop in Fez, Moroccan vocalist Lamiae Naki and multi-instrumentalist Nat Hulskamp composed their first song and decided to get married. Brought together by their deep knowledge of the music of both sides of the Straits of Gibraltar — Spanish flamenco and Moroccan Arabic music — they created Seffarine. Seffarine takes its name from the ancient metalworking square in Fez, which is famous for the complex rhythms that ring out from the blacksmiths’ hammers, and where Lamiae’s family is well known as masters of the tradition. Seffarine’s music embraces and extends Morocco’s musical collision between Arabic, Iberian and West African cultures, forging vibrant original music deeply rooted in their backgrounds in flamenco guitar, oud and Arab Andalusian music. Nat and Lamiae built an international quintet bringing in all star musicians from Iran, the US and Spain, who infuse the sound with textured instrumentation and inspired improvisation. Sweeping kamancheh (Persian spike-fiddle) ornamentation plays off gritty bass grooves and explosive flamenco footwork, with Lamiae’s fluidly riveting voice at the center, sending up sheets of cascading Andalusi melodies punctuated by the catchy hooks of North African Chaabi, sung in her native Moroccan Arabic. Their sound has taken them around the world, from touring Australia and Europe to receiving grants to study Ottoman singing in Turkey, to the Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo, to recording with top flamenco musicians in Spain such as Diego del Morao and Latin Grammy winner Antonio Rey. — Please note: All sales are final.
