The Garcia Project
Official Tickets: Etix/Cascade Tickets is the official ticketing source and partner of Mission Theater — The Garcia Project performs full, unaltered classic Jerry Garcia Band setlists from 1976–1995 — song for song, set for set — using era-correct arrangements, tempos, instrumentation, and gear to recreate the authentic sound that defined those legendary shows. Since 2010, The Garcia Project is more than a tribute, the band delivers the emotional and communal experience that made the classic Jerry Garcia Band so beloved. A recent Grateful Web feature described their performances as “a night of healing, heart, and pure Jerry magic,” noting that The Garcia Project opens “a little doorway back to the Jerry Garcia Band years,” with the same warmth, looseness, and deep musical breath that defined the original concerts. Over the years, fans have affectionately dubbed The Garcia Project the ‘DSO of JGB’ — not as a comparison to any other band, but to express the level of precision, intention, and respect they bring to recreating classic shows. Their authenticity has earned praise from the musicians who lived it: “They remind me of what it felt like to sing these beautiful songs with Jerry Garcia.”— Jacklyn LaBranch, Singer for The Jerry Garcia Band 1982–1995 “They are Jerry’s kindred spirits when it comes to making music.”— Buzz Buchanan, Drummer for The Jerry Garcia Band 1977–1978 “…they almost make me feel like I’m back in, say, 1992 at the Warfield.”— Dennis McNally, former publicist for the Jerry Garcia Band and The Grateful Dead “They don’t merely recreate Jerry’s music… they are channeling it.”— Maria Muldaur, Grammy-nominated vocalist, toured with The Jerry Garcia Band 1977–79 “The Garcia Project scratches that itch for hearing live renditions of Jerry Garcia Band shows…”— Bob Minkin, iconic rock photographer “These players really get the soul of the classic Jerry Garcia Band…”— Andy Logan, Grateful Guitars Foundation Whether you experienced those classic shows decades ago or never had the chance, The Garcia Project offers a powerful, faithful, and deeply felt concert experience that keeps the spirit and magic of the classic Jerry Garcia Band alive. Pigs on the Wing Performs Animals – 20th Anniversary Tour
Official Tickets: Etix/Cascade Tickets is the official ticketing source and partner of the Spanish Ballroom. — Pigs on the Wing is fearless when experimenting with sound in the proper temperament of psychedelia” – David Victor, TOP TEN PINK FLOYD TRIBUTE BANDS 2/27/23 “Capturing what made Pink Floyd iconic is a hard thing to do, and Pigs on the Wing come as close as anyone we’ve heard. That looming mystique, that inscruta grandiosity……Those qualities are alive and well with Pigs on the Wing – Adam McKinney, OLY ARTS 5/10/17 From its garage-rock roots in 2006 as a one-off show, to full-album productions and performance for thousands of fans each year, Portland Oregon based Pigs on the Wing have built a loyal following dedicated to the band’s high-energy take on Pink Floyd’s music. All members of Pigs on the Wing are seasoned veterans of the Pacific NW rock scene and are unapologetic in bringing the wide-ranging musical influences to the table. Setting the band aside from other tribute-rock act Pigs on the Wing balance a decidedly un-tribute-like attitude towards the music with the precision and authenticity expected by Pink Floyd fans. Amongst the band’s accomplishments, Pigs on the Wing has in recent years featured full album performances of The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall and recently ranked the #4 Pink Floyd tribute worldwide. None are bigger fans of the work of Pi Floyd than the members of Pigs on the Wing themselves, and the band takes their role as stewards of the music seriously – something immediately evident in the bands’ immersive performances. Pigs on the Wing’s 2023-2024 tour, “Echoes of Pink Floyd”, is a second act to the band’s previous year’s tour. As before, the Echoes of Pink Floyd tour will feature a new selection of the very best of classic-era Pink Floyd cuts organized into 2 distinct sets. Rather than performing a single album from start to end, expect to hear the band focus on their favorite sections of the classic albums, including hits, deep cuts, and the band’s trademark willingness to explore the sonic space in experimental improvisation. Fans can expect an immersive visual show in a don’t-miss event for any Pink Floyd fan! Pigs on the Wing is: Eric Welder (bass / vocals); Matt Jones ( keys / vocals); Bryan Fairfield ( drums Holly Brooks ( vocals); Dave Lindenbaum ( guitar / vocals) Jason Baker — Please note: All sales are final.
