Eugene Film Society’s 72-Hour Horror Film Competition returns for a 10th season, thanks to the generous support of Emerald Broadband. From Thursday, October 16th, 2025 through Sunday, October 19th, 2025, up to 40 local and regional filmmaking teams are invited to compete to write, shoot, and edit the best 3-minute horror film within 72 hours, incorporating a mandated line of dialogue and prop. Films submitted by deadline will be presented at this screening event, and YOU are invited to vote for your favorite! The film voted “Audience Award” winner will receive a $666 cash prize, a “Jury Award” winner will receive a $1134 cash prize, and prizes will also be awarded for excellence in several technical categories.
