Join us for a conversation in partnership with KALO bringing together Native Hawaiians who, though displaced from Hawaiʻi, now call Oregon home. Across generations, this lāhui (community) has rooted itself in the Pacific Northwest, sustaining culture, community, and ʻike (knowing) despite limited access to Hawaiian cultural resources. Through this gathering, KALO members will talk story, honor the voices of kūpuna (ancestors), reflect on lived realities of the present, and envision pathways forward for future generations to make meaning and create new narratives of belonging, resilience, and continuity.
